Our internal medicine portfolio includes 17 specialties and 7 therapy areas: respiratory, multivitamins and multimineral, gastrointestinal, pain, neuroscience, cardiovascular and women’s healthcare.

Helping Indians ‘b’ Their Best : Vitamins Portfolio

For over 60 years, we have led and shaped the multi-vitamin market in India. Over these years, we have focused our efforts to help people boost their immunity to fight infections1* by driving consumer awareness initiatives, trade availability and institute/corporate outreach program.

Historically Trusted Brands : Respiratory Portfolio

Given the needs in this category, we are also focused on providing effective solutions for a range of patient profiles, including the pediatric category, and for several respiratory conditions such as dry cough, wet cough, and allergic conditions including asthma exacerbation2.

Leading and Trusted Brands in the Neuroscience and Cardiovascular Portfolio

Over the last year, we have focused our efforts on helping Indians quit smoking, and by providing end-to-end solutions for smokers in their Quit Journey through awareness programs. We have also helped train HCPs, build capacity and expanded the pool of smoking cessation experts.

In cardiovascular therapy area our endeavor had been to disseminate recent updates in Atrial fibrillation (AF) and venous thromboembolism (VTE) to healthcare professionals and create awareness on the nuances in the management of Stroke Prevention in AF and treatment of VTE. Atrial fibrillation (AF) and venous thromboembolism (VTE) are common conditions among older adults. Over their lifetime, approximately 1 in 4 individuals will experience AF, while 1 in 8 will develop VTE3. Our initiatives helped address practical challenges faced by a physician while initiating an oral anticoagulant in patients with AF and VTE.

With women, throughout their lives

Women’s Healthcare (WHC) continues to be one of our most important therapy areas. It is divided into two sales lines: WHC-Maternal Health and WHC-Hormonal Health. The Maternal Health portfolio focuses on maternal nutrition, supplements, antacids and contraceptives. The Hormonal Health portfolio focuses on contraceptives, menstrual disorders and menopause.

Maternal health: In India, one in 2 women in the reproductive age group has anemia, making this an important public health challenge4. If untreated, it can become severe and cause problems during pregnancy leading to premature births and low weight babies5. Anemia can be prevented with the right nutrient supplementation, including supplementation during the prenatal period. For more than 50 years now, we have been supporting this cause with our established brands. Over the years, we have introduced more variants to support the nutrient requirements of women.

Hormonal health: Our comprehensive range of modern contraceptives and hormonal replacement therapy products (HRT). Portfolio also includes medicines that support in management of various menstrual disorders like DUB (Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding), dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, menstrual irregularities etc. As one of the leaders in the contraceptive market, we believe that it is our responsibility to educate women so that they can make informed decisions on their choice of contraception, in consultation with their doctor. For this, we have collaborated with India’s leading medical association, FOGSI (Federation of Obstetrics & Gynecological Societies of India) and driving “i-CARE” program to educate HCPs and aid counseling for women with various tools.

We have also partnered with associations such as SPINA BIFIDA Foundation and IMS (Indian Menopause Society) to conduct meetings that give gynecologists and physicians the opportunity to interact with key experts in the field and drive awareness in areas like maternal nutrition and menopause. We have also facilitated face to face lectures and web meetings by international faculty with expertise in contraception and menopausal hormone therapy, for over 1000 of the country’s finest gynecologists from over 25 cities.

Helping prevent heartburn

In gastroenterology, we manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid peptic disorders, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We have intensified our focus on education of gastroenterologists through academic initiatives in partnership with apex institutions to enhance learnings and keep abreast of the latest research. With GERD clinic, we are promoting GERD awareness and developing educational tools to raise clinical judgement and outcomes. Our strong presence in liquid antacids further enhances our portfolio.

Supporting millions to manage pain

Our presence in India for more than 40 years with legacy brands has impacted lives of over 10 million patients suffering from osteoarthritis, low back pain, and other rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions. In our pursuit of excellence, we have conducted virtual workshops to enhance surgical skills in the management of osteoarthritis. We plan to introduce a virtual mobility clinic supported by education tools and videos to encourage patient adherence.
